Sand Creek Outfitters is a family-owned hunting operation based in Cherokee, Oklahoma, just under 20 miles from the Great Salt Plains Lake and Wildlife Refuge. For over a decade, Sand Creek has specialized in delivering well-run, relationship-driven hunting experiences across Northwest Oklahoma and Southern Kansas. Our core focus is waterfowl and Sandhill Crane hunting, supported by a growing free-range whitetail deer program in two of Oklahoma’s top counties. All hunts are designed around private groups, honest expectations, and strong preparation—both in the field and behind the scenes. Five years ago, we completed our custom-built lodge, creating a comfortable, centralized base for guests to relax between hunts. From meals and lodging to daily logistics, our goal is to make each trip smooth, organized, and enjoyable from arrival to departure.
Kaleb Wilber is the owner and lead outfitter with over 15 years of hands-on experience in guided hunting and land management. Raised in the same community he operates in, Kaleb combines deep local knowledge with a relentless commitment to quality, safety, and results. Built on integrity and attention to detail, his operation delivers premium, ethical hunting experiences and personalized service. Kaleb takes pride in building long-term relationships and providing every client with a first-class experience from start to finish.
Landon McLain is a local farmer and dedicated outdoorsman who has been guiding with Sand Creek for over three years. Raised in the area, he brings strong work ethic, deep land knowledge, and a true passion for hunting to every trip. Reliable and detail-oriented, Landon takes pride in helping deliver safe, successful, and memorable hunts for every client.
Jacob Hamilton is an experienced outdoorsman with a strong background in big game, waterfowl, and upland hunting. Originally from Oregon, Jacob spends his off-season working in wildfire operations before returning each fall to guide at Sand Creek. His diverse skill set, discipline, and positive attitude make him a valuable part of the team and a favorite among guests.
Christopher Porter is a seasoned fishing and waterfowl guide from Florida and the longest-running member of the Sand Creek guiding team. Each year, he travels to Canada before making his way to Oklahoma for waterfowl season, bringing extensive experience and regional knowledge to every hunt. Known for his professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail, Christopher plays a key role in delivering top-tier service and exceptional results for every client.
